Dr. VanDerveer graduated from Middlebury College in 1969 with an A.B. in Chemistry and received a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry in 1974 from Brown University. He was a Visiting Lecturer at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1992. He held the position of Staff Crystallographer at The School of Chemistry and Biochemistry of The Georgia Institute of Technology before moving to Clemson in 2003.
